‘कृष्णा नदीने मामांना वाट करुन दिली..’

मामांची बकरी गडहिंग्लज जवळ औरनाळ गावी मुक्कामी होती. पावसाळा सुरु होण्यापूर्वी तेथून पुर्वेकडे कर्नाटकात जाणे भाग होते. विजापूर भागात डोणी गावाकडे जायचे मामांनी ठरविले. तिकडे चारा पाण्याची टंचाई नसे. प्रारंभीच मामांनी आपल्या गड्यांना भावी काळाची मोगम कल्पना दिली होती. ते त्यांना म्हणाले होते, अरे काठीला काठ्या भिडतील. मारामारी होईल. मुडदे पडतील. पण काही काळजी करु नका. त्या प्रसंगातून मी तुम्हाला सुखरुप सोडवून आणंल. बकरी त्या भागात न्यायचीच.
यानुसार बकरी चारणी करत करत मामा, त्यांचे गडी, इतर धनगर व सर्वांच्या कळपाची बकरी जमखंडी वगैरे भाग ओलांडून डोणीला पोहचले.
डोणी येथे चार पाच दिवस झाले असतील तोच सातजण धनगर मामा व मंडळीसमोर आले व म्हणाले लेकांनो! तुम्ही चारणी करुन जाशिला. आमच्या बकर्‍यांना हिथं चारा नाही. तुम्ही इथनं चालत व्हा.
हुव्वाप्पा व सिध्दाप्पा बकर्‍यांचा कळप घेऊन बाजूला थोडे दूर गेले होतेे. त्यामुळे मामा एकटेच त्या सातजणांच्या तावडीत सापडले. सातजणांनी मामांना घेरले. काठ्यांनी मामांना मारण्यासाठी त्यांनी काठ्या उचलल्या आणि चमत्कार घडला, त्यांचे हात वरच्यावर थबकले. ते सर्वजण तशा अवस्थेतच थांबले. मामा त्यांना म्हणाले,  मारता तर मारा बाबांनो.. आणि शांत उभे राहिले. मामांना त्या आक्रमण करणार्‍या  धनगरांना मोठी शिक्षा करायची नव्हती.
हे विचित्र दृश्य बकर्‍यांतील इतर मंडळीनी पाहीले. मामांचा, आपल्या देवाचा हे लोक जीव घेतील, असे वाटून हुव्वाप्पा कुर्‍हाड घेऊन आला. सातपैकी  एकाच्या छातीवर कुर्हाडीच्या तुंब्याने त्याने घणाघात केला. त्यामुळे तो जाग्यावरच मरुन पडला. इतर सहाजण मात्र अकस्मात हल्ल्यामुळे तेथून पळून गेले.
 याचवेळी मामा आपल्या माणसांना म्हणाले, अरे लेकांनो घात झाला. आता इथून ताबडतोब घाईनं दूर गेलं पाहिजे. त्या क्षणापासून नऊ दिवस सर्व बकरी व माणसे सारखी चालत होती. त्यांचा शोध घेणारे धनगर मात्र त्यांना अडवू शकले नाहीत.  
नवव्या दिवशी बकरी कृष्णेकाठी पोहचली. मोठी असलेली कृष्णा नदी काठोकाठ भरुन वाहत होती. नदी पार करणे महाकठीण होते. सर्वजण चिंता करू लागले. तेव्हा मामा पूढे झाले व सहकार्‍यांना म्हणाले, अरे जरा थांबा, मी गंगामातेला सांगतो. मामा पुढे झाले व दुथडी भरुन वाहणार्या कृष्णामाईला म्हणाले, आई गंगामाते आम्हाला वाट दे. याबरोबरच मामांनी हातातील काठी नदीतील पाण्याला तीन वेळा लावली व पाण्यात भंडारा टाकला. त्यावेळी अकस्मात नदीतून पाणी बाजूला सरकून वाट तयार झाली आणि नदीचे पाणी वाटेच्या दोन्हीकडे स्थिर झाले. सर्व बकरी व सर्व माणसे कृष्णा नदीचे पात्र ओलांडून पलीकडे गेले. तेव्हा मामांनी पून्हा नदीच्या पात्रात भंडारा टाकला व कृष्णामाईला हात जोडले. त्याक्षणी नदी नेहमीसारखी वाहू लागली. त्यानंतर मामा आपली बकरी व सर्वांना घेऊन पुढे निघून गेले.

‘ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನದಿ ನನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು ..’ 

ನನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನ ಮೇಕೆ ಗದಿಂಗ್‌ಲಾಜ್ ಬಳಿಯ ಆರ್ನಾಲ್ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಗಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾನ್ಸೂನ್ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲು ಒಬ್ಬರು ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ನನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಬಿಜಾಪುರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ದೋನಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು. ಮೇವು ಮತ್ತು ನೀರಿನ ಕೊರತೆ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ನನ್ನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ನನಗೆ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಒಂದು ನೋಟವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ, "ಓಹ್, ಅಂಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು. ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳು ನಡೆಯಲಿವೆ. ತಿರುವುಗಳು ಬೀಳುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ಆ ಘಟನೆಯಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಮೇಕೆ ಆ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಆಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುವಾಗ, ಮಾಮಾ, ಅವನ ದನಗಾಹಿಗಳು, ಇತರ ದನಗಾಹಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂಡಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಡುಗಳು ಜಮ್ಖಂಡಿ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ದೋನಿ ತಲುಪಿದವು. ಅದೇ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಧಂಗರ್ ಮಾಮಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸಭೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ಲೆಕಾನೊ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ಡೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಅಥವಾ ಐದು ದಿನಗಳು ಇರಬೇಕು! ನೀವು ಮೇಯಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಆಡುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೇವು ಇಲ್ಲ. ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಿರಿ. ಹುವಪ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿದ್ದಪ್ಪ ಆಡುಗಳ ಹಿಂಡಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದೂರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಏಳರ ಹಿಡಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಮಾ ಒಬ್ಬಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಳು. ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದರು. ಅವರು ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪರನ್ನು ಕೋಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯಲು ಕೋಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಪವಾಡ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು, ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿಂತರು. ಅಮ್ಮ ಅವನಿಗೆ, ಬಾಬಾ ಕೊಲ್ಲು .. ಸದ್ದಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಂತಳು. ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡುವ ದನಗಾಹಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಠಿಣ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಲು ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪರು ಇಷ್ಟವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ದೃಶ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಡುಗಳ ಇತರ ಸಭೆಗಳು ನೋಡಿದ್ದವು. ಈ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ, ಹುವಾಪ್ಪ ಚಾಕುವಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದನು. ಎದೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಿಯಿಂದ ಇರಿದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಇತರ ಆರು ಮಂದಿ ಹಠಾತ್ ದಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಪರಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಾಮಾ ತನ್ನ ಪುರುಷರಿಗೆ, ನಾವು ಅವಸರದಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಬರಬೇಕು. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣದಿಂದ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಡುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪುರುಷರು ಹಾಗೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಧಂಗರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂಬತ್ತನೇ ದಿನ ಮೇಕೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣನನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿತು. ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಎಂಬ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನದಿ ದಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ನದಿ ದಾಟಲು ತುಂಬಾ ಕಷ್ಟವಾಯಿತು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಚಿಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಮಾಮಾ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಒಂದು ನಿಮಿಷ ಕಾಯಿರಿ, ನಾನು ಗಂಗಮಾತನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಮಾಮಾ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಓಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೈಗೆ, "ತಾಯಿ ಗಂಗಾ, ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಕಾಯಿರಿ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು. ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ ನದಿಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸುರಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಲಾಶಯವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ನೀರು ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ದೂರ ಸರಿದು ಒಂದು ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿತು ಮತ್ತು ನದಿಯ ನೀರು ಹಾದಿಯ ಎರಡೂ ಬದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಯಿತು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಡುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರು ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಮತ್ತೆ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ನದಿಯ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೈ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೈ ಜೋಡಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನದಿ ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಹರಿಯಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ನಂತರ ಮಾಮಾ ತನ್ನ ಮೇಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದಳು. ಗಮನಿಸಿ: ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡುಗಳ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಕಲಪ್ಪ ವಾಡೆರ್ (ಅಟ್. ಮಲ್ಲಾಪುರ, ತಾಲ್. ರಾಮ್‌ದುರ್ಗ್, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ. ಬೆಲ್ಗಾಮ್, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ) ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

‘Krishna river made my uncle wait ..’

My uncle's goat was staying at Aurnal village near Gadhinglaj. Before the onset of monsoon, one had to move eastwards to Karnataka. My uncle decided to go to Doni village in Bijapur area. There was no shortage of fodder and water. From the very beginning, my uncle had given me a glimpse of the future. He had said to them, "Oh, stick to stick." There will be fights. The twists will fall. But don't worry. I will rescue you safely from that incident. The goat will judge that area.
According to this, while grazing goats, Mama, his herdsmen, other herdsmen and all the goats of the herd reached Doni by crossing Jamkhandi etc.
It must have been four or five days at Doni when the same seven came in front of Dhangar Mama and the congregation and said Lekano! You have grazed. Our goats have no fodder. You walk here.
Huvvappa and Siddappa had gone a little farther to the side with a herd of goats. So Mama was found alone in the clutches of the seven. The seven surrounded the uncle. They picked up the sticks to hit the uncles with the sticks and the miracle happened, their hands clasped upwards. They all stopped there. Mama said to him, kill, kill Baba .. and stood quietly. The uncles did not want to inflict heavy punishment on the attacking herdsmen.
This strange sight was seen by other congregations of goats. Thinking that these people would take the lives of their uncles and their gods, Huvvappa came with a knife. He stabbed one of the seven in the chest with an ax. So he died on the spot. The other six, however, fled the scene due to a sudden attack.
 At that moment, Mama said to her men, We must get out of here in a hurry. For nine days from that moment on, all the goats and men were walking like that. Dhangar, however, could not stop them.
On the ninth day, the goat reached Krishna. The big river Krishna was flowing along the banks. It was very difficult to cross the river. Everyone started to worry. Then Mama came forward and said to her colleagues, wait a minute, I will tell Gangamata. Mama stepped forward and said to Krishnamai, who was running full, "Mother Ganga, wait for us." At the same time, the uncle used a stick in his hand to pour water into the river three times and put a reservoir in the water. At that time, the water suddenly moved away from the river and formed a path and the water of the river became stable on both sides of the path. All the goats and all the people crossed the river Krishna. Then the uncle again put the treasure in the river basin and joined hands with Krishnamai. At that moment, the river began to flow as usual. Then Mama took her goat and everyone else and left.
