‘मामांनी पिशाच्च पळवून लावले..’

इ.स.1957 सालच्या मे महिन्यामधील ही घटना आहे. औरनाळकडून भडगांवला जाण्यासाठी मामा गडहिंग्लजमध्ये आले होते. ते एका झाडाखाली बसले होते. एका बैलगाडीतून एका बाईला कांही माणसे दवाखान्यात घेऊन चालले होते. ती बाई अकस्मात मृत झाल्याप्रमाणे पूर्णपणे बेशुध्द झालेली होती. हे पाहून मामांनी गडहिंग्लजच्या सीताराम भैरु भोपळे या आपल्या भक्ताला, त्या बाईला तसे का नेत आहेत? ते विचारुन यावयास पाठविले. बैलगाडीच्या गाडीवानाला सीताराम यांनी बाईविषयी विचारले, तेव्हा तो गाडीवान म्हणाला,  आम्ही पेंढारवाडीचे आहोत, ही बाई बराच वेळ प्रेताप्रमाणे पडून आहे म्हणून तिला दवाखान्यात घेऊन चाललोय. सीतारामनी तसे मामांना सांगितले, तेव्हा मामा बैलगाडीतील लोकांना म्हणा
ले, गाडी थांबवा. बाईला माझ्याकडं घेऊन या. गाडीवानाने गाडी थांबविली. बाईला धरुन मामांसमोर आणले. तिला कसे तरी उठवून बसविले. मामांनी सीतारामकडून एक कपभर चहा आणविला . मामांनी तो कप बाईच्या हातात द्यायला लावला आणि बाईला आज्ञा केली, मुकाट्यानं चहा पी आणि चालता हो. बाई थरथरत्या हाताने चहा पिऊ लागली. सावकाशपणे चहा पीत असलेले तिला बघून मामा गर्जले, लवकर चहा पी नाहीतर तडाखा मिळंल बघ. मामाचे हे वाक्य कानावर पडताच बाईने चटकन चहा संपविला. ती बाई ताबडतोब उठली आणि बरीच माणसे भोवती जमलेली पाहून ती बैलगाडीत जाऊन बसली. तिला घेऊन चाललेल्या घरच्या माणसांना मामा म्हणाले,  तिला कोणताही आजार किंवा रोग झालेला नाही. ते पिशाच्च होते. मी त्याला हाकलून दिलेलं आहे. दवाखान्याला जायची अजिबात गरज नाही. सरळ आलेल्या रस्त्यानं घरी जावा. ती मंडळी परत आपल्या घराकडे माघारी गेली.
पुण्यवान माणसाची संकटे संत आपण होऊन दूर करतात. कारण संत दयाळू असतात. त्यांना भूतदया मान्य असते.

भूतांची दया हे भांडवल संता ।
आपुली ममता नाही देही ॥

असे तुकाराम महाराजांनी म्हटलेलेच आहे. हे मामांनी सत्य ठरवले.

‘ಅಂಕಲ್ ರಕ್ತಪಿಶಾಚಿಯನ್ನು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು ..’

ಈ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದದ್ದು 1957 ರ ಮೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ. ಓರ್ನಾಲ್ನಿಂದ ಭಡ್ಗಾಂವ್ಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಮಾಮಾ ಗದಿಂಗ್ಲಾಜ್ಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಮರದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದರು. ಎತ್ತಿನ ಗಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಕೆಲವು ಪುರುಷರು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಮಹಿಳೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾಹೀನಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು, ಅವಳು ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸತ್ತಳು. ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪರು ತಮ್ಮ ಭಕ್ತ ಗದಿಂಗ್‌ಲಾಜ್‌ನ ಸೀತಾರಾಮ್ ಭೈರು ಭೋಪಾಲೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದರು. ಸೀತಾರಾಮ್ ಎತ್ತು ಬಂಡಿಯ ಚಾಲಕನನ್ನು ಮಹಿಳೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಚಾಲಕ, "ನಾವು ಪೆಂಧರ್ವಾಡಿಯವರು. ಮಹಿಳೆ ಶವದಂತೆ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸೀತಾರಾಮ್ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಮಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಮಾಮಾ ಎತ್ತಿನ ಗಾಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರಿಗೆ, ಬಂಡಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ. ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತನ್ನಿ. ಚಾಲಕ ವಾಹನವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ. ಅವನು ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕರೆತಂದನು. ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ಅವಳು ಎದ್ದು ಕುಳಿತಳು. ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಸೀತಾರಂನಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಕಪ್ ಚಹಾ ತಂದರು. ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಕಪ್ ಅನ್ನು ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಚಹಾ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಮತ್ತು ನಡೆಯಲು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದರು. ಮಹಿಳೆ ನಡುಗುವ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಚಹಾ ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಳು. ಅವನು ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಚಹಾ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಅಮ್ಮ ಗರ್ಜಿಸಿದಳು, ನೀವು ಬೇಗ ಚಹಾ ಕುಡಿಯದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನೀವು ಹಿಟ್ ಆಗುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವಳು ಚಹಾ ಮುಗಿಸಿದಳು. ಮಹಿಳೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಎದ್ದು, ತನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರು ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಅವಳು ಎತ್ತಿನ ಬಂಡಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಕುಳಿತಳು. ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುವ ಪುರುಷರಿಗೆ ಮಾಮಾ ತನಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಅಥವಾ ಕಾಯಿಲೆ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರು ರಕ್ತಪಿಶಾಚಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊರಹಾಕಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ನೇರ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ. ಸಭೆ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಮರಳಿತು.
ಸಂತರು ಸದ್ಗುಣಶೀಲ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ತೊಂದರೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸಂತರು ಕರುಣಾಮಯಿ. ಅವರು ರಾಕ್ಷಸ ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ರಾಕ್ಷಸರ ಕರುಣೆಯು ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಸಂತ.
ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಾತ್ಸಲ್ಯವು ದೇಹವಲ್ಲ.

ತುಕಾರಂ ಮಹಾರಾಜ್ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಅದನ್ನೇ. ಈ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು.

‘Uncle made the vampire run away ..’

The incident took place in the month of May, 1957. Mama had come to Gadhinglaj to go to Bhadgaon from Ornal. They were sitting under a tree. A woman was being taken to the hospital by some men in a bullock cart. The woman was completely unconscious, as if she had died suddenly. Seeing this, why are the uncles taking their devotee Sitaram Bhairu Bhopale of Gadhinglaj, that woman like that? They sent for him. When Sitaram asked the driver of the bullock cart about the woman, the driver said, "We are from Pendharwadi. This woman has been lying like a corpse for a long time so we are taking her to the hospital." When Sitaram told Mama that, Mama told the people in the bullock cart, stop the cart. Bring the woman to me. The driver stopped the vehicle. He grabbed the woman and brought her in front of his uncle. Somehow she got up and sat down. Uncle brought a cup of tea from Sitaram. The uncle handed the cup to the woman and ordered her to drink tea and walk. The woman began to drink tea with trembling hands. Mama roared when she saw him drinking tea slowly, if you don't drink tea soon, you will get hit. As soon as she heard her uncle's words, she quickly finished her tea. The woman got up immediately and, seeing many people gathered around her, she got into the bullock cart and sat down. Mama told the men who took her home that she did not have any illness or disease. They were vampires. I've kicked him out. No need to go to the hospital. Go home by a straight road. The congregation returned to their home.
Saints remove the troubles of a virtuous man. Because saints are kind. They accept demonic mercy.

The mercy of demons is the capital saint.
Your affection is not the body.

That is what Tukaram Maharaj said. This uncle decided the truth.
