 “कैसी कळवळ्याची जाती । लाभावीन करीती  प्रीती ॥”

श्री सद्गुरू  बाळुमामांनी सर्वसामान्य भक्तजनांचा ओढा भक्तिमार्गाकडे लावला, सामाजिक समतोल ठेवला, अन्यायाला मुठमाती दिली, तसेच समाजातील अंधश्रद्धा, रुढी व परंपरा यांमध्ये काळाच्या गरजेनुसार रीतसरपणे बदल घडवून आणण्याचे कार्य केले. 

आपल्या भक्तांतील अंधश्रद्धा, अविचारीपणा व दुष्टबुध्दी त्यांना शिव्या देऊन वा धाकाने  पश्चात्तापाप्रत त्यांना नेऊन घालवुन लावली. त्यांना सन्मार्गाला लावले. तसेच भक्तांना अहिंसा व्रत पालन करण्याची शिकवणूक मामांनी दिली आहे. संताना आपल्या भक्तांची फार काळजी लागून राहीलेली असते. बाळूमामा म्हणत,” तु माझ्याकडे येवू नकोस, मीच तुझ्याकडे येतो.” अशा प्रवृत्तीचे बाळूमामा स्वतःच भक्त जिथे असतील तिथे जावून त्यांना भेटून त्यांचे दुःख, चिंता दूर करत असत.
स्वतः बाळूमामा अहिंसा व्रताचे पालन अत्यंत काटेकोरपणे करत असत. त्यांचे मुक्या प्राण्यांवर फार प्रेम होते. त्यांनी किड्यामुंग्यांनाही आपल्या  हयातीत कधी दुखावले नाही.
एकदा एका जंगलामधुन बाळूमामा सहकार्‍यांसह जात होते. तिथे काही वानर मंडळी एका झाडावर जमली होती. ती सर्व मामांच्या कडे पाहत होती. उन्हाळ्याचे दिवस होते. त्यांना पाहून आपल्या स्वतःच्या मुलांप्रमाणे मामांनी अत्यंत काकुळतीने विचारले, ”अरे बाळांनो ! अशा भर उन्हात तुमच्या पाण्याची सोय काय?” यावर त्या प्राण्यांनी भूं-भूं असा भुत्कार केला. तेव्हा मामा काय समजायचे ते समजले. 

बाळूमामा सर्व जगाची भाषा जाणत होते, तिथे वानरांची भाषा काय विशेष? त्यावेळी मामांसोबतच्या इतर जणांना वानरांच्या प्रतिसादाबद्दल काही समजले नव्हते. बाळूमामांनी वानरांना डोळ्याच्या भाषेनेच काहीतरी सांगितले व ते सहकार्‍यांसह तेथून पुढे निघून गेले.

“ಏನು ರೀತಿಯ ಜಾತಿ. ಲಾಭಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ. ”

ಶ್ರೀ ಸದ್ಗುರು ಬಾಲುಮಾಮ್ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಹಾದಿಯತ್ತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದರು, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸಮತೋಲನವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು, ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಯದ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಜದ ಮೂ st ನಂಬಿಕೆಗಳು, ರೂ ms ಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ತರಲು ಶ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು. ಅವನ ಭಕ್ತರ ಮೂ st ನಂಬಿಕೆ, ಚಿಂತನಶೀಲತೆ ಮತ್ತು ದುಷ್ಟತನ ಅವರನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಥವಾ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿತು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಅಹಿಂಸೆ ಉಪವಾಸವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಮಾಮಾ ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂತಾನ ತನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. "ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಬೇಡ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ" ಎಂದು ಬಲುಮಾಮಾ ಹೇಳಿದಳು. ಬಲುಮಾಮಾ ಸ್ವತಃ ಭಕ್ತರು ಇದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರ ದುಃಖ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಂತೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಲು ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
ಬಲುಮಾಮಾ ಸ್ವತಃ ಅಹಿಂಸೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಯಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಬಲುಮಾಮಾ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾಡಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಮರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋತಿಗಳ ಗುಂಪು ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಅವಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪರನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು. ಇದು ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯ ದಿನವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಂತೆ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ತುಂಬಾ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿದರು, "ಓ ಬೇಬಿ! ಅಂತಹ ಬಿಸಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೀರು ಸರಬರಾಜು ಏನು? ” ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ಘರ್ಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಆಗ ಮಾಮಾ ಅವರು ಅರ್ಥೈಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಬಲುಮಾಮಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇಡೀ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಭಾಷೆ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋತಿಗಳ ಭಾಷೆಯ ವಿಶೇಷತೆ ಏನು? ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಪ್ಪನೊಂದಿಗಿನ ಇತರರು ಕೋತಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಲುಮಾಮಾ ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ ಕೋತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಏನನ್ನೋ ಹೇಳಿದನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದರು.

Shri Sadguru Balumam directed the common devotees towards the path of devotion, maintained social balance, resisted injustice, and worked to bring about a systematic change in the superstitions, norms and traditions of the society as per the needs of the times. The superstition, thoughtlessness and wickedness of his devotees drove them away by cursing them or by pushing them to repentance. Guided them. Mama has also taught the devotees to observe non-violence fast. Santana is very concerned about his devotees. Balumama said, "Don't come to me, I will come to you." Balumama himself used to go to the places where the devotees were and meet them to relieve their sorrows and worries.
Balumama himself used to follow the vow of non-violence very strictly. He loved animals very much. He never hurt ants in his life.
Once Balumama was walking through a forest with his colleagues. There was a group of monkeys gathered on a tree. She was looking at all the uncles. It was a hot summer day. Seeing them, the uncles, like their own children, asked very anxiously, "Oh baby! What is your water supply in such hot sun? ” On top of that, the animals roared. Then Mama understood what he meant. Balumama knew the language of the whole world, what is special about the language of monkeys there? At the time, others with the uncle did not understand the monkey's response. Balumama said something to the monkeys with the language of his eyes and they left with their colleagues.
